First ASTM AM Certificate Course Set for Auburn in March

Wednesday, February 12, 2020

The ASTM AM Center of Excellence is offering its first-ever certificate course to equip the future AM workforce with core technical knowledge related to required common additive manufacturing (AM) best practices. The course will be held March 10-12 at Auburn University.

Participants will earn a General AM Certificate, serving as the foundation and prerequisite for earning future specialized role-based AM certificates through the ASTM AM CoE.

The course, according to ASTM officials, features a small, focused and interactive learning experience with attendance capped at 50; instructors from industry, regulatory agencies and academia; and a program developed in full compliance with ASTM E2659 standard and its requirements. Upon instruction in eight modules that cover all aspects of the AM process chain, attendees earn the global industry-recognized certificate.

Again, with the course limited to 50 attendees, organizers stress the need to register early, with an early-registration discount ending February 14.
