Startup Develops Ultrasonic AM

Fabrisonic, a Columbus, OH startup, is 3D printing without melting material. Instead, its ultrasonic additive manufacturing process uses sound to combine thin layers of metal. Fabrisonic and its six employees are based in the EWI World Headquarters at Ohio State University. According to Mark Norfolk, president and CEO, Fabrisonic brings “a new twist to the 3D metal printing game.”
