3D Veterans has partnered with America Makes and GE CATA to train U.S. veterans in the use of industrial additive-manufacturing (AM) technology. These four-week AM Bootcamps will teach military veterans 3D printing, CAD drawing and 3D scanning, as well as traditional manufacturing processes, to prepare them to enter the AM workforce. Bootcamps in three locations are scheduled for this summer: Pittsburgh (June 5-30), Los Angeles (June 26-July 21) and San Francisco (July 10-August 4). The program is free to qualified candidates, and includes a $500 stipend upon completion.
