Wabtec On Track to Reap Performance Gains from Metal AM

Railroad OEM Wabtec calls additive manufacturing (AM) a "technology pillar" as it plans use AM in the production of more than 25,000 parts by 2025. This spring the firm will open a new AM facility in Pittsburgh to produce large-scale lightweight parts, promising to reduce lead times to customers by as much as 80 percent.
