3D IMTS Rolls into Chicago pavilion has the technology you need.
These technologies are particularly impor- tant to the automotive, aerospace and medical industries, all of which require a high degree of accuracy and precision.
Controls & CAD-CAM—
East Building, Levels 2 and 3
The world of custom automation and the latest software is on display in this pavilion, everything you need to extract the maximum efficiency from your machine tool—optimizing your plant operations and cost efficiency.
At IMTS, controls, CAD/CAM and other digitally enabled tools will help define Smart Manufacturing, the Industrial Inter- net of Things, Industry 4.0 and other advancements in the digital enterprise. Visitors will learn how to be part of the trend to further connect islands of digital data into a fully integrated solution from design to performance to recycle and reuse.
Quality Assurance—East Building, Levels 2 and 3
This is where you'll find the metrology equipment and systems to keep your processes on track and find confidence and security in the quality of your output. It's also where you'll find the equipment that will check the accuracy of your machines, an important step to protecting your investments.

Formnext Makes its U.S. Debut
In its drive to improve, grow and explore opportunities in the global mar- ketplace, Mesago Messe Frankfurt announced late in 2021 its plans to launch Formnext USA Chicago, in April 2025. Leading up to that exhibition will be a series of events designed to build the Formnext brand, starting with a new AM4U Area at IMTS 2022. AM4U, present-
ed by Formnext, is a multi-use area on the show floor where industry experts will provide seminar presentations on the adoption of industrial AM, as well as entre- preneurship and business models for start-ups and young enterprises. In 2023 the AM4U Area presented by Formnext will be co-located with the Additive Man- ufacturing Conference in Austin, TX.
Says Glynn Fletcher, president of EOS North America: “EOS has been engaged with Formnext and AMT for many years. The combined strengths of these two organizations brings exceptional value to the AM industry and stimulates further peer-to-peer engagement.”
“The pace at which AM technologies accelerate makes IMTS a must-attend event,” says Peter R. Eelman, vice presi- dent and chief experience officer at AMT. “IMTS visitors will see AM solutions for production and high-volume part appli- cations, tooling, workholding and fixturing that improve performance, lower lifecycle costs, and help reshore production. They’ll also be able to meet people pushing the boundaries of AM.”
Impressive Lineup of Additive Pavilion Exhibitors
The IMTS Additive Manufacturing pavilion plays host to more than 100 exhibits—twice the number of exhibits the pavilion hosted in 2018—displaying the latest equipment for powder-bed fusion, binder jetting, sheet lamination, material extrusion, directed energy dep- osition and more. Among the exhibiting companies:
• EOS
• Renishaw
• Siemens
• Zeiss
• 3DEO
• 3D Systems
• 6K Additive
• Additive Industries • AddUp
• Desktop Metal
• ExOne
• Fabrisonic

Dozens of Conference Sessions Provide Unique Educational Opportunities
In addition to the vast display of man- ufacturing technology slated to hit the IMTS show floor, attendees also can take in more than 150 unique and educational conference sessions, most concentrated on Tuesday (65 sessions) and Wednesday (56 sessions). Among the topics on the agenda:
• Solving Additive Manufacturing Chal- lenges with Advanced 3D Scanning
• The EV Revolution is Charging Up with Additive Manufacturing
• Metal AM Workflow from the Bottom of the Sea to Outer Space
• Additive for Subtractive–Design Con- siderations for Making AM and Machining Work Well Together
• Training Programs for Additive Pro- duction: What Companies Ask for Vs. What They Really Need
• Data-driven Process Control for Pre- cision Directed Energy Deposition (DED) • DED Manufacturing of Large Critical Components: Pushing Boundaries of
Metal Additive Manufacturing (AM)
