Met-L-Flo Adds Rapid Quote to Website
Met-L-Flo, a Sugar Grove, IL-based a 3D-printing contract manufacturer, has launched its Rapid Quote online feature for granting customers 24-hr. access to instant quoting.
“Rapid Quote allows clients to have budgetary numbers well in advance of their program release deadlines,” says Carl Dekker, president of Met-L-Flo. Cus- tomers can utilize a file to rapidly calcu- late prices and place orders, making possible quotes for SLA parts in seconds instead of minutes or hours.

Eight Universities Selected to Receive
GE Additive 3D Printers
GE Additive announced that eight universities have been selected to receive Concept Laser Mlab cusing 100R metal-printing machines as part of the GE Additive Education Program.
“GE Additive’s generous gift will enhance the College of Engineering and Applied Science’s ties to local and national industry,” said University of Cincinnati (UC) President Neville G. Pinto. “This partnership will give our stu- dents an advantage in the global techni- cal workforce by exposing them to pres- ent-day innovations, greatly enriching their education and better preparing them for the changing workplace.”
GE created its Additive Education Pro- gram in 2017, committing $8 million to provide metal additive machines to col- leges and universities. More than 250 and colleges universities around the world applied. The applications were evaluated by a team of engineers at GE Additive, and the final eight were selected.

• University of New South Wales
• U.S. Naval Academy
