Powder Manufacturer LPW Awarded AS Registration
LPW Technology, Runcorn, UK, a supplier of metal powders for the AM industry, has had its U.S. facility in Pittsburgh, PA, registered to AS 9120A and ISO 9001:2008. AS 9120A was developed for pass-through distributors of aerospace items, and has been extended to include the defense and space industries. LPW provides aluminum, cobalt, titanium, tungsten- carbide and other powders used for the laser-metal-deposition, selective-laser-melting and electron-beam-melting processes. WeAre Group and Tekna to Collaborate on AM-Powder Manufacturing
The WeAre Group and Tekna Plasma Systems, Inc. have agreed to create an AM powder-manufacturing company in France. The agreement allows WeAre Group to secure a pow- der supplier for its AM activities, while consolidating Tekna’s position in the aerospace market.
