Intech Adds Polygonica Solid-Modeling Software To Its Metal-AM MachinesMarch 25, 2022
Intech Additive Solutions has licensed Polygonica solid-modeling software, from MachineWorks, to enhance its metal-additive manufacturing (AM) ecosystem, according to Intech officials. The software will be incorporated into the Intech roster of metal-AM machines that include the iFusion SF1, iFusion MF and iFusion LF, and function within the machines’ build-preparation software, AMBuilder, and parameter-optimization software, AMOptoMet.
One of the main issues regularly faced in metal printing is compensating for part deviations that occur during the print process, note Intech officials. MachineWorks’ Polygonica reportedly offers a number of advanced mesh algorithms that help AMBuilder tackle this complex issue, which helps ensure successful part builds.
“Adding Polygonica’s mesh algorithms to AMBuilder was an important step for us, and we also plan to introduce new and innovative software powered in part by the Polygonica engine,” says Murari Venkataraman, Intech Additive Solutions vice president of operations.
