Trumpf Announces TruPrint 1000 Contest Winners
May 6, 2019Three universities—Drexel University in Pennsylvania, Youngstown State University in Ohio and the University of Michigan—were named winners of a Trumpf TruPrint 1000 3D printer for one year. Universities, colleges and research institutes in North America had an opportunity to compete through an application process outlining specific research objectives involving the TruPrint 1000. Twenty-two applications were reviewed by a panel of experts: April Cooke, applications engineer, Trumpf, Inc.; David Saint John, director of advanced manufacturing, Linamar Corp., and Marcus Lau, industry manager research, Trumpf Laser- und Systemtechnik GmbH.
