Video Shows Design and Fabrication of a 3D-Printed Jet-Engine Air BrakeMarch 2, 2021
Follow the story, in this 12-min. video, of how the AM experts at the UK’s Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC)―home to the National Centre for Additive Manufacturing—worked closely with its partners at Renishaw Inc. to create demonstrator part for the DRAMA (Digital Reconfigurable Additive Manufacturing facilities for Aerospace) project.
DRAMA is a 3-yr. collaborative research project that kicked off in November 2017, developed to help build a stronger AM supply chain for the UK aerospace industry, by developing a digital learning factory. The entire AM process chain will be digitally twinned in a virtual environment to help control the cost of process development.
