Supersonic Spee3D Launches

Tuesday, November 7, 2017

A new metal 3D printing technology using supersonic 3D deposition, instead of heat to melt powders, is being launched today by SPEE3D, Melbourne, Australia. The company says its SPEE3D printer’s rocket nozzle accelerates air up to three times the speed of sound to deliver manufacturing grade metal 3D printing at production speeds at low-cost. For example, a flywheel reportedly can be printed in as little as 11 minutes and 38 seconds for under $7.
